UNITS OF STUDY – Scientific Measurement, Problem Solving, Atomic Structure, Chemical Names, Chemical Quantities, Reactions, Stoichiometry, States of Matter, Gases, Periodicity, Bonds, Solutions
Grading: Grades will be based on total accumulated points earned on: quizzes (announced and unannounced), tests, projects, lab work, homework and participation. A small amount of extra credit might be available each quarter. There will be no retaking of any assignments, tests or quizzes. Each student is responsible for their own work. Grades will be assigned as follows: (Weighted Class)
A = 100-94% A- = 90-93% B+ = 87-89% B = 83-86% B- = 80-82% C+ = 77-79% C = 73-77% C- =70-72% D+ = 67-69% D = 63-66% D- = 60-62% NG (F) = 0-59%
Supplies: Each student will need a writing utensil and a spiral notebook every day. Scientific Calculators will be used. Positive attitude is a must!!!

Attendance: School policy will be followed regarding excused/unexcused absences and tardiness. Students are responsible for getting all work missed.
Cheating: Cheating will not be tolerated. A zero for the assignment will be given.
Plagiarism: Learn what this means and avoid it at all costs. First offense is a warning; second offense will result in a zero.
